Hi, I'm Cynthia Sass, Prevention Nutrition Director. Here's an important nutrition tip. All the nutrition facts on a food label are base on the packages serving size. But the serving size on a label is not necessarily the amount you would eat. For example on this box of oatmeal, the serving sizes are quarter cup dry. It makes about half a cup cooked.
So if you eat one cup of oatmeal cooked. You're going to have two multiply all these numbers by two and it is especially important if you're watching your blood sugar or you're counting calories. I'm Cynthia Sass, Prevention Grocery Guru.
