The Anti-Aging Workout
Chris Freytag: Hi! I'm Chris Freytag, Prevention Magazine's Fitness Expert. Do you need a guide to blasting fat? Well, follow along with my body sculpting workout and we'll do just that, get rid of unwanted fat. And I'll even throw in a few yoga moves at the end to help you rejuvenate and relax. And for each move I'll give you a make it easier option so that you can work along with your fitness levels. So if you're ready, let's get started.
This is one of my favorite exercises; it's called the Push-Up Kick-Back. I love push-ups because they work the chest and it's important that you not only work your back but your chest to even everything out.
So here's what we're going to do, crawl forward into a push-up position and get your shoulders over your wrists and drop your hips into alignment keeping your abdominals tight. Go ahead and come down into a push-up, press all the way down, push up through your pec muscles of your chest and when you come to the top lift one leg for a balance challenge you're squeezing your glutes, keeping your core body tight, point your toe. Knee comes back down, push-up and then the other side, balance, point that toe, squeeze your buns. Abs tight, chest right there, very nice, extend that leg, be mindful at keeping that spine in one long linear line, push through your chest. Great job, alternating sides.
Now to make it easier, we're just going to drop down and when you come back up eliminate that leg lift, just stay here and focus on a really nice push-up through your chest.
