Submissions 101. I'm going to just demonstrate something called the 3 Points of Death. Now what this is, it's basically, it's a triangle type of movement where you learn from one to another, to another, to another. If one of them doesn't work, one of the other two will.
So I'm going for the triangle choke here. I wrap it in. So this is typical triangle pulling down. Now, if he starts to defend on me and his hand comes across my body, I might opt to go for the tepee, grab here, test it out.
If I can't get it or if he reaches around and he is trying to defend, if I can't get a tepee here, I will just push his head, wrap and then bolt lock. So it's a drill that we start using in our gym here where you push through, you go from the triangle lock. So one pulling down.
Now again, when you are grappling, in the light grappling situation, he might be defending himself like that. So I will try that out. He might wrap his arm around my leg here, bolt lock him.
So it gives you three different options from that position. A lot of times you'll be trying to get to triangle and you hold it too long, so maybe he will stack or escape you. So as you can see, you are angling off in these three different areas from a triangle to tepee to the bolt lock.
