Chris Freytag: Do ever wonder, if you're doing your move properly? That's what these break it down sections are for. I'm going to break down some of the Pilates moves for you, so you can feel successful in the Pilates sculpt workout.
Let's begin with basic plie. You're going to take your feet a little wider than hip with apart, heels facing and toes apart. Lift through that core body from belly button to the crown of the head and tuck the tail bone under. You're going to slide down in imaginary wall and then squeeze up, squeezing through the inner thigh. Do it again, slide down sending the knees over the ankles and back up.
Now, keep in mind this is different than a squat. In a squat you're going to push back with your gluteus, sitting into a chair and squeeze up through the butts. In a plie, you slide down on that wall and pull back up through the inner thigh.
