If you’re looking to erase you internet history, then here is the quick method you can do through Internet Explorer. If you just go the Tools menu, you’ll see Delete browsing history at the top and for older versions, you might need to go through internet options and then through a few tabs to find it but what comes up is this delete browsing history dialog box and you’ve got a history here, list of websites you visited. So you can click this one. It comes up with the confirmation. So you can just delete your history that way or you can go delete all and that will delete all your passwords, form data, cookies and temporary internet files as well.

But, what you’ll is find is once this is finished, there are still more information that it hasn’t deleted. This is like the basic delete your internet history way to do it. But I’ve got this other software which I use which is called ParetoLogic Privacy Controls and this is the first page, the scan type. If you click Start Scan you’ll see that it comes up first with Windows cache and history, internet browsing history and it’s already found over 400 items for internet browsing history and almost 3000 items for Windows cache and history. So you can see that it’s still on your machine. There are still files and still records of your history for internet.

So, once you can do this software will actually go through and find every occurrence of your history, your internet activity. All you do once that is finished, I mean this found over 6800 items. You just click this remove button and that will permanently delete it from your machine, so you can be sure that your internet history has been erased.
