How to Crochet the 2nd Row in Slitted Tree Skirts
Now we’re going to start the second row blowing around and if you remember, we just finish right here and I’m going to use orange going up. So we just finish right there and now because this is the center section we’re going to keep going around and then come back and around because this is center it is, look right down in the middle.
Now, this is what you need to pay attention to, is that you just come up here, you’re just finishing so now you have to then chain through because we’re double crocheting if you are doing triple crochet it would be chain four. So it’s a chain three because I told you I was doing double crochet so let’s chain so one, two and three. So this is where the granny squares is coming really easy and row really fast.
You are now looking for the gaps, do you see how this two are stretching from each other and created a gap right there? That’s exactly what you’re looking for. So you’ve chain that three and now you’re going to double crochet, wrapping right underneath that chain, okay. And you’re going to trip of its three little— right into that gap, okay?
So now, what you’re going to do is then chain one and now you’re looking at the corner piece so you’re going to go into that corner three times, okay. And we are turning the corners so one and two and going into that same gap there again three more times. Okay, and then chain one, you get in the habit of every time you finish a set of three chain one at the end.
So when you’re looking for the next gap which should be right here and so you’re just going to look for the, you just going to keep looking for the gaps and just putting your double crochets into the gaps chain, this is another gap here. So we’re going to one, two and three, okay and now there’s another gap right here, one, two and three. You’re going to chain and now you’re on the corners again, so do you see that, you see how we went and we have two and this section what we’re getting bigger as we go up.
So now, there will be three and then the next time there will be four. So we’re on the edge, so we’re one, two and three, you’re going to put in two, one and two, going into the same gap again, one, two, three and chain and then this is next gap so one, two, three, okay. Chain going into the next gap one, two, three, okay chain going into this gap one, two and three and chain. And now we are on the extra corner again so going in one, two and three, chain two, going into the same gap to do the car, okay.
I sometimes in the videos I call these runways so I’m going to go along and I would say I was say going in and going and putting three. So do your chain here and then going across the runway you’re going to chain going into the next gap. So just make sure that every time you have a section of three, you’re putting a chain and get them on the corner one, two and three for one, two and then one, two and three. Okay chain and then here what’s happening here is that you cannot stop at the section here because the promise that you’ll end up with this, with crafts that will look like stairs if you stop.
So what you have to do is just view as normal, chain one at the end and then you’re going to put one single double crochet into the edge piece and then you’ll stop. And so when you come to back to start again the other way, you’re going to chain up so one, two and three. That becomes just like here, it becomes your post and then you go directly in to this gap here for two more single crochets are double crochets like you did here. And then just work your way backward and chain and then using hint to the gaps and that’s how you do it. So it’s pretty simple, it’s just, some people are very visual learners so I think what they can know.
