Now, we’re rotating the material. You see how I put the string in behind, I always like the string when I’m starting my second line to always come out of the back of the crochet just like so. So now what we’re going to do is we’re going to double crochet all the way across. So let’s chain up three, one, two and three. And now, this cancels the first one, so we’re not going to go into the stitch that comes out of this, do you see that there? We’re not going to go into that. We’re going to go into the very next one.
So wrap in your material around into the next stitch. This is just like regular crochet, so if you double crochet in something else, so it would be the same thing as you’re skipping that first stitch.
So, let’s double crochet all the way across and again, you don’t need to see this video if you know how to double crochet. Just double crochet all the way across. If you must change your color, I will do it in this double crochet line right at the very beginning of it, because the next line now, what’s going to happen in the line’s to come is that the next time you go single stitch across, we are going to be doing the diamonds coming down into the pattern.
So, it’s best that because this is the double crochet line, this actually acts as the background that appears behind the diamond. So this would be the better choice to change our color at this point.
We can’t see when we just double crocheted all the way across. It’s not a big deal. I’m using a K-size hook tonight, and just double crocheting all the way across. So there’s what your line number three should look like. Again, very simple.
