How to Crochet a Simple Baby Sweater Part 6/28
This is working on line number three. And if you’ve decided to stay with me, welcome back. So we’re just going to chain up our three like we normally did for a double crochet to start the next line. Remember what I said, you’re not going to go into the bottom of that one, we’re going to go into the very next.
Okay, so we’re going to double crochet away across this line. And every time we get into a gap, we are going to put a double crochet, chain and double crochet. So I’m just going to go at my regular speed for the next few lines because it’s all identical. And the gap is the next one. So in the gap, and chain one, and then in the gap again to allow the material to turn and then just whipping across again the runway, double crocheting into every stitch until you get to the next gap.
Okay, and then gap is the next one. So in the gap, chain one and in the gap again to allow the material to turn. And now, we’re working along the back runway. So we’re just going to continue along until we’ve run into the next gap. So we’re actually working on the back of the sweater at this point and it’s no longer 12 stitches across the back because we’ve been growing this like Granny’s Griswold, it’s been getting bigger and bigger which is exactly what you’re looking for. And the gap is coming up not quite yet but will be.
Okay, and the gap is the next spot. So into the gap, double crochet, chain one, into the gap. And double crochet again along the runway until we run into the next gap. Okay, the gap is next. So into the gap, chain one, into the gap. And now, we’re just making our way to the edge.
I will say that working with one material versus the two that you see in the back car is a lot easier. This here isn’t giving me such a problem but I like to look at the two strings as one. So into the hem stitch, double crochet into the end stitch. And that was completion of line number three. Check that often on your paper.
