How to Crochet a Sidesaddle Shell Stitch Part 4/6
Okay, so we’ve just completed our first semi-circle that’s continuing along. So we’re going to jump over two empty spots going into the third empty spot. So go through, pull through, pull through two and pull through two. And we’re going to do three of those so go through, pull through, pull through two, pull through two.
We’re going to do it again, the same hole. It’s in three, that’s what I love about this pattern, it’s easy to follow. We’re now just on our three as you can see so we’re going to chain one and now we’re going to use this treble here as our securing point so wrap your knit all around and go in that treble. Wrap your string around, pull through, pull through two and pull through two and go again. Go in, pull your knit on it, string through, pull through two, pull through two and then again, pull through, pull through two and pull through two. And now, we have to secure that down like we did before so we have to count over to the third empty spot, so one, two and three. There it is.
So I’m going to do one more slower and then I’m going to continue at regular speed. So one, two and three, we want to double crochet into the third spot, and that will be the center point of your three. So this is going in again to that same spot. Same spot, pull through, pull through two, pull through two. We’re now at the top so we’re going to chain and now we’re going to use this treble for the sideways trebles. So pull through, pull through two. Okay, now we’re going to be looking for a spot to fasten it. So we need to go on to the third empty spot so you got one, two, three right there.
Okay, and that’s called regular speed. So we’re looking for the third spot, empty. It’s kind of in the first line so it’s always a little more tougher. Okay, we’re going to be doing three double crochets into that same spot. This pattern actually is pretty soft that’s why I kind of liked it. I kind of did a sample of it and then I really liked it. Now, I just did my chains and now I’m going to come into the treble sideways for three. And this is my final third one. And now, we’re going to be looking for a spot on the main chain again. On the third, one single stitch it down. Okay, let’s go again so we got to find the third empty spot, so I’m double crocheting into that same hole for three, so this is my third one now. I’m going to do my chain at the top, and then going to the side treble again for three. So one, two and three. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to fasten this down on the end line because that is where it will end up. So first single stitch on the end.
