How to Crochet a Royal Sunrise Pattern Part 5/8
So grabbing your material now, we’re going to rotate and we’re doing a brand new stitch on this line that I’ve never ever done before. I actually had to look of how to do it. So what we need to do is that we need to chain one, so let’s chain one. Now we need to double crochet so wrap in your needle around and can you see this a stitch right here? It’s your starting stitch right in the edge just stick it right in that hole, that stitch pulling it through and then two and two.
So, what we’re going to do now is we’re going to triple crochet into the top and to each one of these sunrises. So when we get to the top, I’m going to be showing a brand new stitch that I’ve just learned myself so let’s wrap and wrap going into that very top. So not into this stitch here but into the top of the post that is the first sunrise. So let’s pull through, pull through two and two and two. Now, when we’re up here now we have to do a picot. I don’t know if anybody has ever done one of these before but it’s very, very simple.
So now what we’re going to do is we’re going to chain tree so one, two and three. So do you see how these two are forming a V right here? What we want to do is stick your needle in there, do you see that? You stuck it in there and that you’re going to pull through there and you're going to pull through that loop and that’s a picot and what it’s doing is it causing it to be really like fluffy at the top.
So let’s do the next one so we’re going to wrap and wrap, going in there pulling it through, pull through two and two and two. So now we’re going to do it another picot so one, two and three, looking for that V shape. Do you see it right there? Sticking into that V-shaped pulling it through the V, pulling it through the V and that one right there. See and it’s causing those three to stick together so, one and two going into the next stitch that’s available with the sunrise, pulling it through two and two and two so let’s do another picot so, one, two and three looking for that V-shaped. There it is right there.
Hopefully you can see that pulling at through that one and through that loop. So let’s go again so one, two going into the next sunrise. Now we’re back up there so one, two and three looking for that V-shaped. You see it right there, pulling up through two. Alright, pulling it through there and through that loop. So, let’s wrap and wrap going into the next one, pulling it through to two and two and two, one, two and three looking for the V, going in, pulling it through and through that. Let’s go into continue to pull through. Okay, looking where I am, so one and two, and that was chain three again, one, two and three. This is a picot, looking for the V-shape, pulling it through there and I just can’t believe how amazing a saxophone is this.
So we’re looking, we got two more to go on this sunrise as you can see so wrap and wrap. Let’s do a picot again so one, two and three looking for the V, pulling it through there in the V and through the stitch. And last one to go because you can see how this is not part of that and see how that’s part of the original box. So one, two pulling it through two and two and two, and what we’re doing now in this last stitch we’re not going to do any picots.
What we’re going to do, so wrap your needle around and just do a double crochet just grabbing on the section right here. So just go into there pulling it through two and two and we’re going to immediately start doing the top pieces of the next one. So wrap and wrap. So you’re jumping all that way until you see the first post which is right there. So we just go on the top stitch of that stitch of that post through two, two and two and let’s do a picot so, one, two, three looking for that V shape, pulling your material through and through.
Next one, one, two looking for the next stitch on that top of the sunrise, one, two and three looking for the V, pulling up through and through. Next one, one, two and through two, two and two, doing another picot so one, two and three looking for the V shape.
The sample that you see in behind actually doesn’t have the picots on there because I wasn’t sure what that was and I thought I was doing it right. And what problem is when you don’t picot you’ll end up with all these ugly gaps so I’m going to be re-doing my promo for this stitch even the sample that I’m using right now, that I’m doing right now because that one is obviously wrong in the behind the scenes. So one, two, three looking for the V shape, looking for the sunrise. There is more to go so one and two, right. It’s a two, two, two so picot one two and three looking for the V and pulling up through.
I’m going to retry that V again looking for the V shape, pulling it through that and that. So wrap and wrap going into the next one picot, one, two, three pulling it through that one and that one looking at it. We still got two more to go on this sunrise so one two, two, two and two and then picot one, two and three sticking in the V, one and two. This is the last one for this sunrise.
So you're going to keep going on your line until you get to the end of your project, one, two, three picot. And now that was our last one so what we’re going to do is wrap your material around and just sticking it into the next available gap, do you see that? You can already tell it looks so much different because the picots had been done properly this time.
So let’s start at your next sunrise then, so wrap and wrap going into the actual post on this sunrise two, two and two and this is you picot one, two and three into the V shape. Wrap and wrap, pulling it through two, two and two, one, two and three. It’s a picot, wrap and wrap one, two and three into the V. Just continue to pull that right through. So wrap and wrap, picot one, two and three looking for the V, so wrap and wrap.
So this is the last line before the pattern starts repeating itself, one, two and three, picot into the V shape all the way through, wrap a wrap. So two and two get to the top, one, two and three so we will pull through and wrap and wrap so we’re almost done so one, two, three for the picot, grabbing your material pulling all the way through. So this one here is not part of that, do you see that?
That was part of the box shape on the bottom so it’s just one last post, one, two and we’re not doing the picot on this one and what we’re going to do is attach it so one. So we’re just going to attach it down and that makes the every edge so this line is done so that was just a double crochet right at the very end. So there’s what you got so far.
