Okay, this is the pineapple stitch that we are going to be working on here. I'm going to place it in the background here and as you can see the pineapple is going up and this is line number one. So, let’s start our first line. So, we are going to start our loop. If you don’t know how to do this, you can just go on my tutorial on how to start. And I have a ton of crochet videos on how to do stitches. And in this thing, we are going to be using a chain stitching. We are going to be using a double crochet and triple crochet. And this is actually very simple pattern.

So, when we are thinking about our first line, we have to think in groups of 15 chains. It takes 15 chains to do one pineapple section. So, this one has two pineapples as you can see there, therefore there’s 30 chains on there. So, if you are thinking about a six foot blanket then you are going to have to think about a sort of a two pineapple is equal to one foot and you want a six foot across then you are going to have to think about doing 12 pineapples and it’s pretty simple.

So, what we are going to do in this example, we are going to use a 30 which is going to give me two of pineapple sections so let’s start off. So, we are going to do 30 so this is our first chain so one, two, three. Just grab your needle and pull through four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and 10. You know what, they might—string this a little tense so it was 10, so 11, 12, 13,14,15.

Now, my strategy is why count a 30 when you don’t have to so this is one section of 15. Just start another section of 15 so let’s go one, two, three four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. And there is your first line so this will be two pineapples which equals 30 so the more pineapples you want, if you want to add another one, add another 15. If you want another one, add another fifteen so 15 is your magic number so let’s stop this video and section number one line one is done.
