How to Crochet a Peppermint Twist Baby Hat Part 8/15
Okay we are now coming across our last wind and the whole idea of when you are finishing your line, so we have – let me hold way back. You wanted both edges to be the exact same color because when you go to put them together, you want to use the opposite color in order to create the line. Because the opposite the color when you go to make it will create a line. So if you for example, do a white on this side and purple on this side, when you go to fasten it together you are going to have a line where you are we going to see an extra wide band and it will be so obvious that it will stick it like a sort of thumb. So let’s finish our last line, so chaining up. Okay putting in the edge and going across and I'm just going to go move the lighting over so I can see well.
So we are just going in the back loops as always. This happens to be the line number 38 because you are keeping count. See when you are using one color, it wouldn’t matter like I could have finish the other side there and it wouldn’t matter. But you want an edge that is nice and clean because it will be the actual edge for the head band. So let’s go along.
And we are filming live at this moment not only being taped on my camera but we are also filming live on Mikey’s mail on the actual television channel on the internet but I don’t have anybody watching me at this moment. It’s probably a good thing because I don’t want to turn into a camera ham so, but they can see exactly what I am doing here because both cameras are together.
Okay so we are coming into the edge and we are going to finish it off at the exact same way, two pieces together. And what we want to do instead of pulling the white through because, yes we do want to pull the white together so I do apologize. We want to pull it together because instead of cutting the strings; we are going to be actually just using that white to come around. So that’s the very end. And now, what we are going to do is that we are going to turn this to this camera angles. Let me just move everything back.
So what we want to do is we wanted now turn this hat and let me take it on out. And what’s going to happen is that w are going to fasten both edges along the same line to get the twirl fact and see how I told you like the half end in the same color because when you put the white in here, it’s going to be consistent. Because if I use purple at this moment, you are going to have a wide band and I would look really weird. Now, there’s a good side of the crochet and a bad side, this is apparently the good side. How can I tell that? Just look at the other side and you can see the coloring kind of bleeding through the white sections, so you want to use the sides of this will be at the actual good side. So let’s fasten it like so. The good side is facing out and what we are going to do is we are going to fasten these two edges together and that is our next step.
