How to Crochet a Hunnie Pot Hat for Newborns Part 9/11
So I'm almost come all the way around and we’re just going to finish up to final. We got two stitches left to go and we’re going to slip stitch. Okay, so one more in, okay. So we want to slip stitch, so it’s the second loop up there.
I know it’s kind of hard to see because it’s blocked. It’s the second stitch, so we’re just going to stick our needle in, pull the material through and through to join them together just like so. So what we’re going to do now is that we’re going to now create a fold and when you do a fold on something like this, so you can actually see it.
The materials kind of dance itself inward when you’re doing a fold. So this is how you do it. You’re looking at it and remember we’ve been working on the back loops to create these beautiful lines but now we’re going to start working in the front loops and when you look in and just a quick reminder.
The loops consist of two strings. I know it you can’t see it but there are two strings there. So what we want to do is we want to grab it. We want to chain up one to chain up one and we want to grab by the front loops instead of the back. And by doing that you’re causing the material to naturally fold out.
So we’re going to single crochet, okay on the front loops. So just going in the front only, okay and you will see what just, just what’s in a few stitches. I think I where on fibers six that the material is just naturally going to fold itself towards you and that’s exactly what you’re looking for. Okay, so you see how it is indenting in. That’s the fold actually taking place.
So when you see the fold now, remember what I was saying to you like if you didn’t have, if you don’t build this up later first, see the fold it would be the actual purple. It would be showing at the bottom of the fold and it doesn’t look very sharp. It looks actually pretty sloppy, so continue all the way around and I'll catch you back up only slip stitch again. And again this is single crochet and the front loops all the way around.
