How to Crochet a Diamond Cable Stitch Part 2/9
In our first example what we’re going to be doing is doing the diamonds with the bump and the bump is right in the center of the diamond just to give it a bigger texture, doing this is called the cabling and it provides a really thick blanket or whatever you wanted to do with it. So it’s a great way to really thicken up your material.
So the secret to doing this is doing them in sets of four, so let’s go along and I’ll do 16 sets all right 16 stitches. So we’d look at it, this is a k size hook, USK and 6 ½ millimeters. So what I’ll going to do that counts as 1, maybe I can turn the camera down a little bit.
So that’s one, two, three and four and determine if it’s long enough and if not count it again. One, two, three and four, okay, is it long enough? if not, count it again one, two, three and four, if not long enough count it again, one two three and four, so I think it’s long enough for this example so at the end of your chain you’re going to add three stitches, so one, two and three.
So there would be line number one for this one, so keep them in sets of four and then on the end add three stitches.
