How to Crochet a 3D Ripple Stitch Part 3/7
Okay, so now what we have here is that we have our line and it’s in sets of two, right. So now, we’re going to double crochet al the way across back over this thing and in this example that you see behind It’s a seven feet long so I wold crochet seven feet. Let’s double crochet so one, two, and three so we chained up three. And now, do you see were my finger is? I always purposely hold it so I know exactly where I started. So you’re going to go into that stitch. In which it would be the fourth from the hat cap and so basically one, two, three, and four. So we are double crocheting so we are going to warp your material around one, two, three, and four. It’s just easier if you hold your finger in position when you are going up the line when you are drawing this. So we are going to double crochet all the way across in that here and then double crochet right onto the very last one and then we are going to—wait and go out and progress to your next video.
And you must double crochet that first line and then it makes the difference. So if you are going to be changing colors on this one, the line that you’ll be always changing your colors should be where you are doing a single stitch and we will be doing that and then the very next line as well becoming back across doing that single stitch. So this whole ripple stitch consists of only two different kinds of lines. You have the ripple itself and then you have the single stitching in between.
If you go back, you can see I have done it here. What’s happening here and see how I have not really grabbed the material properly. If I don’t fix that now, while I have an opportunity, it’s going to be showing so later on down the road so make sure if you ever do anything like that, that you’ll fix it while you can. You know that you’ve done it then fix it right on the spot because this is what happens as when she get all this beautiful looking crochet and it kind of imperfections like that is going to stick out.
So we have double crocheted it now all the way to the end. So let’s stop there.
