How to Crochet a Baby Cap Part 5/13
Okay so what we are going to do now is we’re going to chain up two, so one and two. And what we are going to do now is that we’re going to work our way around and now this is when we just have to start paying attention. So what we are going to do is we are going to two half double crochets in a row so that stitch in and out and stitching in on the third one, we are going to be doing two half double crochets into the one and we are going to continue that patterning all the way around.
So this actually counts us one, so we are going to do another half double crochet into the next one. So on every third hole you’re going to put two. So every third hole, you are going to put two half double crochets in. Okay so this is counts as one so that’s your second so this one here we are going to put two half double crochets in that one hole. And this allows the circle to keep expanding so let’s go to the next one. There is just one half double crochet in there and the next one is just one half double crochet. Now, we are going to put two into this one because it’s the third one right.
Okay, so let’s do another half double crochet just one in that hole, go to the next one. Half double crochet and this is our third one again so we’re going to put two into that one. So going to continue along a half double crochet, next stitch, half double crochet and then we’re on the third one again so we are going to put two onto that one.
You see how I’m not really counting. I am only counting two to like three. I’m not worrying about making it too complicated. So the next two will be then half double crochet in the next stitch and we are back on the third one again so we are going to put two in this hole. Then we are going to do another half double crochet into that stitch and into the next stitch, half double and we are back on our third one again so two half double crochets into this hole.
You know this wool that I used in behind it it’s actually really are thick and I’m wondering if the hat is too big for a new born because this one here is already starting—I’m using a smaller material. Okay so if I lost my count because I'm talking to you so if I got two in there and one and two and so to the next one is a double or two half double crochets. So I am wondering if this hat is going to be much smaller because the material I'm working with is actually thinner. It’s definitely easier to actually do this too and I can actually see it. So two, one, one and this will be two into this one.
And we are back to where we started. So what we are going to do is call the slip stitch just right into the top and we could see. Grab your material pull it through and pull it through that hole. So there’s your next circle completed.
