I have a very simple image here and I would like to get part of that image to be transparent.
Now it’s easy when you’re creating a new document because you can simply set it up to have a transparent background. If you already have a photo or some other document then you’ll need to go in and then you’ll need to specify what you want to be transparent about that image. How you do this is go up to file, and then go to save for web and devices and you are going to get the option to choose one of the colors over at the color table and to make it transparent. So I could click on my blue and then down below here click this button and this says maps selected colors to transparent. I’m going to click it and that’s going to go ahead and make that color transparent. I could click it again or restore it. I could do the same thing with my other color.
So if you have a lot of other colors in here you can mark more than one to have it transparent. So you can go ahead and do that until you get the complete look that you want for your transparency for your image.
