Grab video code:
You ca create a new layer on Photoshop by going up to the layer menu, choosing new and then clicking on layer. You get your new layer dialog box. The first thing you want to do is you want to save it with a name that’s going to describe what you’re doing in this layer.
And then, for the color you can go ahead and you can color code the layer if necessary, if you want it to stand out from your other ones. And then, you could choose a blending mode if you’d like and this is just a way that the layer will be blended with the other layers and this is a way that you would choose to have special effects put to your layer. You can also choose the opacity, 100% is going to make it a solid color whatever you put on that layer and then anything lower than that is going to make it slightly transparent.
So, go ahead and click okay, and you can see that I’ve created my new layer with my name and that I would have then color coded it so I now have an orange tab on there. And once I add something to my new layer than a preview of it will show up.
