When you first begin working on Adobe Illustrator, you can either create a new blank document or you can go ahead and work on a new document from a template, so to do so, you can go ahead and you can click the from template link that’s on the splash screen when you first start the program. Or if you’re already in something else, you can go ahead and go to file and then new from template. And then you’re going to go ahead and you’re going to get this dialogue box, the new from template dialogue box and you’re going to have a templates folder, it should automatically go ahead and open to. And these are the templates that came with Adobe Illustrator, and also if you create a template, you can choose to save it here too.

I have two folders here, Basic or Inspiration, and I’m simply going to go in and I am going to find the one that I would like to select and I’m going to select it and it’s going to give me a preview down at the bottom. I’m going to click on new and it’s going to go ahead, and it’s going to create that new document from that template.
