Hey everyone welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I’m Veronica Belmont.
One of the cool things about Firefox is that you can view the HTML at any given website just by clicking view then selecting page source. But that just brings up another Firefox Window that you can’t edit. Well, if you want to take that code and tweak it for your own purposes. Sure, you could copy and paste but why not skip the middle man. Open the about:config page and scroll to view_source.editor.external. And double click the change to true, then double click view_source.editor.path and insert the directory path of your favourite text editor. It’s all there is to it. Now you’ll be able to review and edit other people’s HTML to improve your own or just learn a few things.
Now, if you’ve got a tip to pass on to the rest of the TZ crew, then email us email@example.com and as always tekzilla.com, it’s the place to find, more tips, tricks, product reviews and how to’s.
