Hi, I’m Claudio Zozloni with Il Fornaio. And today, we’re going to show you how to make gnocchi. And now, we’re going to go and cook our gnocchi. What do we need is a pot of a hot boiling water and we’re going to just damp our gnocchi inside. Very important is the water is boiling. And at this point, the gnocchi is ready when it has come up at the water surface. So we’re just going to help them out a little bit. In the meantime, we’ll keep our sauce hot and ready. So, it’ll just going to take like a few seconds for the gnocchi to come out on the surface. When they’re out on the surface, just wait like five seconds, a few seconds, then we’re going to toss it in the water, really important not to leave the gnocchi too long in the water, otherwise they’re going to fell apart. So the important thing here is the hot boiling water and don’t forget about your gnocchi in the water. As you can see now, they start getting on top and they’re almost done. Everything has to be on the water surface just for a little while. See, like this, five seconds from now and the gnocchi are ready. Always be careful around that water. So they are now ready, just drain it and put it directly on your hot sauce and at this point, you’ll see all your gnocchi are there. Just toss your gnocchi, add some truffle butter, some parmesan cheese and that’s it. It’s really important to toss the gnocchi nicely. So you can see all the sauces and the gnocchi, they’re getting together. At this point, we’ll turn off the fire, grab your plate, spoon and you plate your gnocchi. See, it’s really easy. And again, you can make a gnocchi with any kind of sauce you like. There you go. Okay. Put a little bit of parmesan cheese on top and here you are. Put a fresh potato in the gnocchi with Italian sausage and Gorgonzola cheese. Finish it with a truffle butter. Enjoy and bon apetit.
