Hi, today I’m going to show you how to make a nutritious and delicious Chicken Tikka masala. I’m using my tikka, I like to fry it to make it really, really healthy. So to start of, by having my diced chicken then I’ve made my own tikka masala spice mix, using all of these spices. Add one tablespoon of that with natural live yogurts. So when I’ve added my yogurt, I simply stir that mix up. I want to spread the spice mix around of it because I really want it pair in the meat. So just get that nice and distribute it evenly. Then I’m just going to marinate that for that half an hour to an hour. It depends on how much time you have at home really.
So that I’m going to start chopping my onion, this actually is great for making chips, that‘s where I normally use it for. but I wanted to show you how to do something different with it today. And those, the chicken tikka masala, it’s everyone’s favorite to take away. So chop your onion into nice fine shreds then I’ve already chopped up my garlic and ginger. It gives it a lovely aromatic flavor. But it start of by putting in the onions and just distribute it evenly, to that I’m going to add the rest of my tikka masala mix and my garlic and ginger and then I add my oil. And you’ll see what a small amount of oil I use. I simply just measure it out and pour it in. Then I add just one aromatic coddling pods.
Now close you have to fry and set the time up. Start it by setting for 30 minutes. There we go and that simply. I leave it for five minutes just to start cooking the onions and spices. After five minutes, I just come back open the lid ands give it a little bit of stir. That really smells good, lovely. Next, I’m going to get my chicken and just pop this in and spread them around evenly. So then, I just add my liquids I have my picarta, which is just chives tomatoes and my chicken stock, and properly down and simply leave it in the next 25 minutes.
Alright, that should be all finished now, smelling really good. Then I’m going to add my seasoning, fresh coriander and two percent fat Greek yogurts. I just take out the tray, so where do you smell like a proper Indian take away curry but we know it’s not very good for our waistlines when we order in. These only have 2.5 %fat. Now it’s really looking very good. Add my fresh coriander then I have my Greek yogurt. The reason I’m adding this the last minute is it doesn’t cut with the heat and give it a good stir. That’s looking really lovely. So serve with some freshly cooked rice. Its really is looking very good and then a little sprinkling of fresh coriander. So there we have it, my nutritious and delicious low fat Chicken tikka masala.
