Have you come across a problem like on a mixer tap for instance, where you turn on the hot water and you get splatters? It sort of splatters and then it stops all together which means there’s air trapped in this system. So what you need to do is just get rid of the air inside the tap. Let me show you how to do that now. With this, it’s not so straight forward, what you have to do is remove the screw at the back. There’s a screw located at the back of this spout. Remove that and take the spout off completely. So then remove the spout, put it aside. And you have to force the air out.
The way to do this is put a towel the hole left by the spout and turn on the hot tap first and then you turn the cold tap one. Press down firmly with a tea towel of anything for a few minutes. Then turn the cold tap off and turn the hot tap off. Now that method forces the air. Because it’s on the main’s pressure, the cold water will force the air out of the hot water system. And then when you replace the spout, you should have a good flow of water from the hot water tap.
