For clinging dust and accumulated dirt off the sensor of digital SLR, Tallyn’s recommend using photographic solutions, sensor swabs and eclipse cleaners.
The first step to cleaning the sensor on the Canon 5D and 30D is to fully charge the battery then remove the lens. Then turn on the camera and go to the menu, locate the sensor cleaning option and then select “Okay”. The sensor is now exposed, apply a couple of draft to the clips cleaner to sensor swab. With the sensor swabs, swipe the sensor from one side to the other. Flip over the swab and swipe the sensor, then turn off the camera.
Sensor swabs are available in three sizes. Size one is for the Fuji S3, S2 and Canon 1D Mark 2N. Size two is for the Canon 30D, 20D and other APS size sensors. Size three is for all full-frame sensors such as Canon 1DS Mark 2 and the 5D.
