How to Chop Herbs
As a trained chef, many of my friends wonder how I can chop herbs so quickly. Well, the technique has to do with how you hold the knife. So today, I'm going show you how to properly chop herbs.
So first, you have a sharp knife. You want to place your middle finger inside against the heel of the knife, the four fingers are one side of the blade the thumb is on the other this helps to stabilize the knife so that you can move more quickly, next you’ll have your fresh herbs, I've already washed these, and I’ve picked the leaves and dry them off in a paper towel. Gather that together. We’re going to take our knife hold again. Simply move the herbs towards the knife as you lock the knife backwards and forwards. Don’t have to press down too hard because your knife should be pretty sharp, this way you’ll be able to chop herbs quickly like a professional chef, it’s that easy. So check back tomorrow for more 60-Second Solutions.
