Lisa Simms: Hi everyone! I’m Lise Simms and here are five facts about choosing the right appliances for you kitchen. Fact number one, invest in the basics. Our appliances are fun and they’re so many options to choose from. But did you know that after cabinets or your appliances are the most expensive part of your renovation? They can take up to 20% of your entire budge, so now is the time to figure out your particular needs. How does your family live? Are you a family of four or you are single? Whatever you needs you want to spend the bulk of your budget on your refrigerator, you go dishwasher, your stove and your oven. And that’s before use splurge and all the fancy coffee pots and stuffs like that. So if you are a gourmet chef maybe you mean to have an oven or to dishwashers or maybe you are a family of four and you just looking for a little extra refrigeration. Just make sure your new appliances are the correct size for you. And now the fun part, go to the home centers. Check out all the appliances store for the newest models. Recent technology is moving forwards to rapidly and you really want to invest in the newest technology you can afford and don’t forget to ask about warranties on this big ticket items you will be so glad you did. Fact number two, professional style. It’s a trend that just keeps ongoing the professional restaurant style kitchen. Now, true commercial units are not permitted for home use because they’re massive size, they’re excessive heating and other safety concerns. But with pro style appliances you can getting more durable unit, more precise heating and that slick professional look so if you cooked a lot for you big family the investment would be good for you. Fact number three built in, if you are going with all new cabinet tray then having your cabinets build around the exact measurement of your new appliances can give you a completely built in and seamless look. They can even carry the materials from your cabinet tree onto the face of your refrigerator and your dishwashers. It’s a little costly yes, but if you’re for high and renovation then you are going to end up with the very elegant kitchen. What’s a lead me to fact number four panel the appliances. This is when you want the same look for a whole lot list. Maybe you keep your old appliances and have them paneled in the materials to match your new cabinet tray or vice versa. New appliances paneled and materials that upgrade your all cabinet tray, either way saves you a lot of money. Fact number five energy efficiency, yes new appliances are very expensive but they also run much more efficiently which overtime is where you going to save money on your utility bills. So, when purchasing appliances you always want to look for an energy star rating. Appliances that rate in energy star actually meet government standards for energy efficiency. That’s where you are going to see savings on your power bills which will offset the cost of the expensive appliance. Now the higher the rating the less water and power it takes to run the appliance. So now you can splurge on that stainless to your refrigerator you’ve been eyeballing and don’t forget do your research, ask around friends and neighbors who have already remodeled are terrific sources of information about appliances as well.
