My name is Michelle Dittrich and I am a makeup artist. I've done makeup on a lot of celebrities, Pam Anderson, Kanye West, Lenny Kravitz, Cynthia Nixon. There's a big misconception that I could never do that look on the runway, and you absolutely can, everybody can, and you'll play your best attributes and I can show you how to do that. When you are picking a foundation there are a few things you reallt need to pay attention to, one of the biggest mistakes I see often is getting a line along the jawline. What happens is your skin creates sebum throughout the day and darkens the makeup. So, one thing that you want to make sure you are always doing is matching your foundation to your neck, always so test is also on your neck as well as your face, don't ever let anyone test it on your hands it's a totally different color. So looking at Delphine, she has beautiful clear skin and adorable freckles which I actually want to show through a little bit her foundation, so I am going to pick a luminizing cream foundation for Delphine that will allow her skin to show through but still give a more perfected finish. If you are an oilier skin type and you tend to get very shiny through the day, you are probably going to want to pick something with a matte finish that's oil free. There are many different skin types that you need to determine which kind you are, are you a combination, are you dry skin type, are you an oily skin type, or are you a mature skin type. Do you actually want to wear foundation or do you want a tinted moisturizer. Those are all things that you need to take into consideration. Also, if are you going to be photographed you are going to want a very matte finish, something that will absorb light and not reflect it unless you want a super dewy shiny finish.
