Ahmed: Is your lawn nice and green? I'm going to show you what fertilizer is and how to use it correctly.
There’s a lot of fertilizers out there on the market. For most often what you see is Helix or Granular form of fertilizer. There are three numbers on fertilizers that left to right represent the percentages of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Generally, nitrogen helps green up vegetation and promotes growth. Phosphorus helps build a strong root system and potassium helps keep your plants strong.
Here’s the secret. Lawn needs nitrogen fertilizer. And when I'm done applying the nitrogen fertilizer, I'm going to come right behind it with this triple 15, the balanced fertilizer. High nitrogen and balanced fertilizer, one to green it up and one to keep it green. Very important, before you spread fertilizer, make sure that you wet the soil beforehand. Once we’re all done with that, water it in and we’ll fertilize.
