Hi! This is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to test your internet connection speed with Cisco network magic. So, I've got network magic loaded here on the tasks tab. You see test internet speed. It brings up a box and tells you basically that there are a number of factors that can affect your connection speed and we’ll click next. Now, you can pick a server location because that will also affect the accuracy of the test. So, for more accurate test, you want to pick some place that’s a little bit closer to you. Atlanta is pretty close to me so I’ll select that and click next. Now, it's testing it by downloading and then uploading. In that way, you'll get your speeds in both directions. So, you can see that down I get over 14,000 kilobits per second. And upload speed, I get about 1800 kilobits per second and click next. I can also run a local network speed test but we’ll do that in another tutorial. And now, click finish and that’s all there is to it.
