Back up any files and settings first.
All right, I am just going to give you a bit description of how to change a computer name. Before you do this, you run your backup of any important documents such setting and such like. This is just a basic way of doing it.
Click on start, go to My Computer.
Right click on the window, select Properties.
Get system properties box up, select Compute Name. This is a name of the present in the Workgroup. Go down here, which is To rename this computer or join a domain, click Change.
Click on Change, enter your name, I want to say keep mine on the same so I am going to leave it.
Click OK. I am about to cancel out because I want to leave mine assume but you would click OK. And then, click OK. And then, I would recommend rebooting. And that is basically how to change your computer name. You might want to do this if you want to set of a new user who has the same name as the computer that would not be allowed actually, so you might want to actually change your name of the computers instead.
