Sometimes you have a leak from the spindle, just a bit here. And water constantly drips from the side. How do you cure that problem? Well first thing is to remove the tap housing or the spout at the top here. In order to do that, there is a screw at the back of this spindle, so what you have to do is get a tiny screw driver, something like that, and put it behind it. It’s not an easy way to get out but then you can use a pair of pliers and gently price it off or unscrew it. Because you can never get a screwdriver short enough to fit behind there most of the time anyway. And then you gently pull this off. And the culprit will be these “O” rings.
See those there? Now this is what you need to change. It will be advisable to buy a packet of rings or an assortment of rings like this. And then you can change that. Once you’ve changed that, now to get it off, just price it off with a screwdriver. It comes off very easily. In this case, it’s a little bit difficult but, okay we’ll change that, price it off with a screwdriver. Put a new one on. Place it back in the housing; tighten up your screw at the back there. And that should get rid of the problem of leakages around the spout there or the spout, okay.
