You could change the ruler increments in Adobe InDesign by choosing the edit menu, preferences and then units and increments. And you’re going to get the ruler units. It’s going to be the first category. So you could choose the origin and this is going to be where the ruler actually starts, does it start on the spread, on the page or on the spine. Go ahead and choose which one you’d like to set it as. You could choose a different ruler unit for the horizontal and the vertical ruler or you can choose the same.
So, you have a big selection here of what you could choose, inches is the default. So if you’d like to choose it, go ahead and choose a different one for the horizontal and the vertical ruler then go ahead and click the okay button and the changes will be displayed on the ruler.
