Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to your butterscotch.com tutorial on how to change the font color in Word 2007.
The default font color is black but you could change the font color to just about anything you want. So we’re here in Word, we have some texts here and the default it black color. Now, you can see right here on the home tab of the ribbon the A, which is like the alphabet. You click there on the arrow. You see here is the automatic color. Here are the themed colors and here are standard colors. So if you want, we can change it to red and then what we type is red. If you want, you can even go here, click there, and now all that texts is red.
So when you see the color here, click there and it will change it to green. You see now the bar underneath it is green. So if you highlight text, just click the A, you change that segment of text to green. In this way, if you wanted to, you could go through and you could change every word in the sentence to have a different color. And as with other things in Word like font size or font type, as you move over the color, it shows it to you in the document, which is a very cool feature.
So this is changing the font color in Word 2007 and that’s all there is to it.
