Speaker: Holiday Pumpkin Bread is a perfect treat. In a medium bowl, stir together one and a half cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, a quarter teaspoon of baking powder, and a half teaspoon of salt. Combine a third a cup of raisins and a third a cup of chopped pecans. Stir in one tablespoon of the flour mixture and set aside.

In a large bowl, at medium speed, beat together a quarter cup of butter and a cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in three eggs, one cup of canned pumpkin, a quarter cup of orange juice, and a half teaspoon vanilla, until well blended.

Add remaining dry mixture to the pumpkin mixture and beat at low speed until thoroughly blended. Stir in the reserved pecans and raisins. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan and pour in the batter. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven until lightly browned, about 60 to 70 minutes.
