Jennifer Okay hi! We got another awesome question from one of our YouTube viewers.
Says I am good looking popular guy and have no trouble asking girls out. Except, for this one girl I have a crush on since the eight grade.
Dan That is so sweet.
Jennifer I always walk away from a conversation with her thinking, what the heck did I just say? I am so like a damn jock. So here is my question, how do you ask out a shy girl that you are desperately head over heels in love with? Do you talk to her friends? Do you just walk up and out of the blue and tell her? What do you do?
Jennifer: We will let Dan with this one.
Dan This is a fine line to walk. He is not shy and with the other girls. He is generally confident guy in general but, he will deal the girls, he has nothing to loose. He is comfortable with them already.
Jennifer He does like care if they like him or not.
Dan That is right. And he are the entrance into their lives after he reach his maturity confidence stage, this girl who known since before he entered this confident zone.
Jennifer Eight grade, oh gosh.
Dan Back when she was shy.
Jennifer She has remember eighth grade?
Dan I am blocking it out. No, no, it is dramatic. I am blocking it out because he met her back when he was still shy.
Jennifer He was still and so awkward
Dan He met his peered confidence but he is still awkward and shy.
Jennifer Okay, so what is he do now?
Dan Okay! You got to somehow foster that confidence and that strength around her. But you also do not want to just be not be anywhere around her because, “what is the perfect time to ask her out?”
Guys spend so much time, “what is the perfect pick up line?”, “what is the perfect time to ask her out?” there is not one, okay? There is not a perfect time to ask her out. There is not a perfect time to run into her in the hall or this crap. There is just is not, okay.
A girl is a real person just like you, someone who needs companionship, and someone who need a friend, someone who wants all the special wonderful things in life just like you do.
Whether you know, guys who called macho they can say that you know, but whatever. Start spending more time with her and this is where we get to the fine line.
Jennifer Well, one of the things that we had left out because the question was quite long is that they are both very active in sports and there is not a lot of time to do that so how does he lives that?
Dan Oh, no, no, no, I am sorry. I think that is bogus. That is BS all the way. That is just like the question we get from older guys I work. You know, 30 miles from her, and we hardly see each other. I worked 50miles away. You like her, get your butt over there and go spend time with her.
Jennifer You have actually got something in common.
Dan That is crap! That is excuses! You want to make it happen, you can make anything happen. If you get off your butt and make it happen.
I do not respect bogus excuses. To each his own, not how I work. Does not work for me so, if you want to make it happen, no excuses, you make it happen.
But spend some time around her. Get to be her friend, get to be close to her, not his whole friend zone business where you pretend you really do not like her. You do
Jennifer With her making obvious
Dan It is okay to flirt. Yes! Do not pretend that you are gay or something around her. That is going to leave you solo, okay.
You like each other, cool awesome, spend more time together and the magic is going to have may sell if it is there.
Jennifer Yes, get comfortable okay? She is just a regular person and this may not be able to want to hear but if she tells you no, it is okay.
Dan Yes, we have so many of these questions, why did she say no? A woman can say no just very quickly. Any woman you walk up they can say, they cannot be interested in going out with you for a 100,000 different reasons.
She might have girls; she may have a boyfriend she really likes. She may have just had a bad day or whatever. No fair, just go for it and have fun, enjoy it.
