Leigh Kubin: Welcome to Feng Shui Your Way. I am your host Leigh Kubin and today we are in the home of Victoria and Kevin Shaper and we would be Feng Shuing their guest bedroom which falls in the relationship area of the Bagua. So, let us go upstairs and see what we have to work with.
FENG SHUI Wealth Relations Health Wisdom Travel
Victoria Shaper Leigh, this is our guest room.
Leigh Kubin: Wow! This room has a lot of potential. This is the relationship area of the Bagua and what that means it gives you a place to have a commitment or something outside of yourself. So, ideally this would be the master bedroom but it is too small. So, since this is you guest room we want to create a very comfortable environment for your guest, but we do not want them to get too comfortable, where they do not leave. So, there are few things that we can do to make them more comfortable and also remind them that this is your home. The first thing that I see that is wrong with this room is that the bed in the mount of chi. So, when your guest are laying in here in bed they are going to hit with energy all night as they sleep. My first recommendation would be to take this bed and put it in the command position of the room.
Victoria Shaper Okay.
Leigh Kubin: The second thing that I see with this room is that there is a mirror at the foot of the bed. It is very normal for people to think they should put mirrors at the foot of the bed but actually it keeps you from sleeping all that well because the energy bounces back and fort on your whole night. So, when we remove that you guest will have a much nicer night sleep. So, what we can do is take that down and we will just find another place for that in the house and we can put a piece of art up in this wall that will give them a perspective for the day, but again it is going to be your perspective because we want them to know this your house. Do you have anything under this bed?
Victoria Shaper Yes, I have some boxes of paperwork that I have honestly been meaning to get too for a while but I just kind of stored it away and they are there.
Leigh Kubin: Okay. Well, whatever we sleep above is what we absorb so when your guest to come over they are absorbing things that they need to get done, your things. So, we want to move that out. Remember nothing needs to go under the bed accept the treasure box. So, we will get that pulled out, and this area is really about the earth. The element that rule this area is earth and you have done a great job making this room very earthy. Traditionally the color is pink but red works anything with the muddy tone can be use in the earth sector. So, the paint is great, the bed spread is perfect. So, you have done a really good job with this. Now Victoria, what do you think about the window? Are you up for putting some drapes up?
Victoria Shaper Yes, we have actually been discussing what should go up there and I just do not know with this point.
Leigh Kubin: I would find something earthy maybe green, maybe you can pull up one of these colors in the comforter to go up there.
Victoria Shaper: Okay.
Leigh Kubin: It will make the room warm, soft in the window and make for a good night sleep.
Victoria Shaper: Wonderful!
Leigh Kubin: One thing I want to look at is this area of over here. This is actually the wealth area of the bedroom. So, what this means is I want you to put things that are special to you and Kevin here in this space to kind of remind your guest who rules the house.
Victoria Shaper: Okay.
Leigh Kubin: So, again not to let them get too comfortable.
Victoria Shaper: I can do that.
Leigh Kubin: Okay, so yes, just some things that are meaningful to you and also I think a picture of you two would be great right there.
Victoria Shaper: I will do, I will find one.
Leigh Kubin: Perfect! One of your jobs right now is to find some artwork that you can put in here that has meaning for you and Kevin.
