Here we have Sheryl. Her makeup is mostly done but there’s a couple of things we want to finish it off with just to give it that extra kick.
She’s already beautiful but these fake lashes going to totally bumped it up a notch. Alright, you take the fake lashes. If you pull off the end, you always want to measure them to your eye and make sure that they are not too long. That’s what keeps lashes looking nice and natural. You’re usually safe by cutting off three or four pieces from the outside part of your fake lash. You’re always safe for having them too short than too long. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to take this lash with a little scissor and I’m going to cut off basically as I turn around, I’m going to cut off the last three pieces off the end of this fake lash. So now, I’ve trimmed my lash, it’s going to be even shorter than her entire eyelid and that’s where we wanted to go.
Applying glue, I prefer using waterproof black glue. This way when it dries, it’s going to dry black instead of drying clear being shiny. So, I’m going to apply, put a nice thin coating of this waterproof glue and just let it set for about ten to 15 seconds, basically until the time it takes you to get your tweezers out. So as we get closer to the lash, you want to put it right in the center of your eye. I’m leaving the outside edge her own lashes. Once you make sure that the lash has been attached, you open your eyes slightly and make sure that you’ve not glued your eyes when it’s shut. Then you close your eyes again.
And then here is the big pearl effect trick. You are going to turn your lashes up, so that it dries up like this. Okay, this is the most important part to having your lashes look incredible and completely opening up your eyes. You want to make sure you gently have it dried up like this, so you partially take it down to make sure that you’re not attaching the glue to the lid yet you maintain the nice flip so that it dries up. So that when you open your eyes, you see how strange it looks. The lashes way up here and the real lashes way in the bottom. But you have to have faith in this part and let the lash glue dry. And once it dries, wait until you see the effect. Remember, flip it up. Make sure you dry it like this. This is going to make the biggest difference in the way your eye makeup turns out.
Now, we’re going to apply a fake lash to the other eye.
When you’re doing this on yourself, just hold it from the center until you place it where you want it to. And again, I prefer doing it right in the center of the lash of your own eye because you want the outside lashes to be your own and the inside lashes to be your own. So once you have placed that, again, you open your eyes to make sure that you’ve not glued them together and to make sure that all the edges are going to be glued down to your lid. Don’t worry if a little bit of it pops out. So you close your eye again and then you go in with your tweezers and you gently place it to where you want it to go. Do not put this fake lash over your own lashes. Make sure you get as close to the lash line as possible while still staying on the lid.
And again, if you see I’m flipping it up gently and while I flip it up, I take it down to make sure I’m not gluing the eyelid. So you flip it up and make sure you don’t glue. Okay, you just have a little patience. It’s worth all the difference in the end. Open your eyes and if any of your lashes should get stuck, don’t panic, just pull them out. This is going to happen. Also, if any of the edges pop out, just take a little brush and put a little glue right on the edges, it will glue back. By using waterproof glue, your lashes will stay on the entire night long and even until the next morning and if you want to pull them off, they just pull right off from the edges. Once you make sure that the lash glue is dried, you’re going to attach the real lashes to the fake lashes using a mascara wand. It’s very simple. So if you go back and forth motion, what you’re doing is you’re attaching your real lashes to the fake ones and this is going to lift up your real ones so you never have to curl them
It’s going to pull down the fake ones and it’s going to create a natural look. Remember when we kept the outside lashes you’re on? So that is what I’m going to see these big old fake lashes sticking out but once Sheryl opens her eyes, can you see the difference between the two and how it attach ones? And again the mascara wand goes sideways, back and forth to make sure you’re attaching the real lashes to the fake lashes. It’s going to pull the real ones up, the fake ones down. The outside edges are your own so it’s going to stay looking nice and natural and once Sheryl opens her eyes, you’ll see the lashes look quite natural but have an extra-added effect.
