How to Add Web Search to the Start Menu- Windows 7
Welcome to Tekzilla Daily. I’m Veronica Belmont. If you have Windows 7 Ultimate professional or Enterprise or if you’re still using the released candidate, you have access to the local group policy editor. To launch, just type group policy into the Start menu, hit Enter. Now there are bazillion tweaks available here but I’m just going to point out one of my favorites for now.
Navigate to User configuration administrative tools then Start menu and Task bar. Locate at search internet link to start menu. Double click select Enabled then click okay. Now whenever you open the start menu and type in the string just click search the internet and it will launch your default browser and search engine directly to your desired results.
