How to Add to Print Area in Excel 2007
The Mr. Excel Pod cast is brought to you by Easy Excel.
Hey, all right, welcome back, it’s another Mr. Excel net cast, I’m Bill Jelen. A cool trick that came along in Excel 2007, I didn’t realize it was here; of course you can set the print areas so I choose range of print area, set print area. That’s just like a file, a print area, a set print area that we have for a while but then if you want a print another section, check this out. When we go back to print area, there's a new thing here now called add to print area. All right so I can have non contiguous ranges that I want to add together into a single print area.
Apparently the only downside with this is that when we go into print preview, you’ll see that it automatically throws a page break between each of those sections. So when I go from section to section to section it doesn’t put them all together. That would have been a really cool thing if you wanted to print all in the same page you have to do use the camera tool to paste all of those together, pictures on one page. But if you’re good enough with printing them out on separate pages, a great-great trick there. The paste layout, the print area, adds to print area, very cool feature, new in Excel 2007.
Hey I want to thank you for stopping by, see you next time for another netcast from Mr. Excel.
