Liz: I’m Liz Vaccariello, editor of prevention, and today, you’re in the kitchen with Liz and Jennifer Iserloh, the skinny chef. I love fruit and nothing better, more filling than a fruit salad so you’re going to tell me today how to make a minted honey lime recipe? Jennifer: Now the key to making delicious fruit salad of course is to start with your favorite fruit. So why don’t you go ahead and add some cantaloupe into the bowl, honeydew, we have some beautiful fresh pineapple and some strawberries. Next, we’re going to add a little bit of honey. And they key to a great fruit salad is citrus, not only does it add tons of flavor but keeps the fruit from turning brown. And I love to put fresh herbs in my fruit salad, this is mint but you can also use tarragon and other fresh herbs. Now if you want to turn this fruit salad into a dessert, go ahead and spoon some of that into the bowl for me. I’m going to show you how to top it with something special. Liz: It smells good that mint. Jennifer: When I was a little girl, my granny used to use full fat sour cream and powdered sugar to top her fruit but I have Greek nonfat Greek yogurt here. Look how delicious and creamy that is and it tastes rich but it’s fat free. Now you’ve got your dessert ready to go. Liz: That’s lovely, wow, tune in next time for another episode of in the kitchen with Liz.
