Hi, I’m Keith Harmon at Smart Wired Home and we’re talking about how to install a Home Theater. We’ve already talked about selecting some of the equipment. We’re gonna look at another option which is a Homer Theater in a box. Home Theater box is nice because from one standpoint, because what it does is allows you to buy one product that packages 3 things together, a DVD player, a surround sound receiver, and the 5.1 or sometimes 7.1 set of speakers. So when we look at that that seems very attractive. Many of these things are low end so they’re inexpensive which is good but there are also, they there some quarter cutting on the quality for many of these models. Again we see the one unit DVD player here, the center channel with the 5 and the dot 1 for the subwoofer over here, all in one package at a lower price. Another similar option might be this Pioneer, again the surround sound receiver, 5 set of speakers with the dot 1 subwoofer. The advantage, you know obviously, is the cost and the, and buying only one, only one product to select. One of the major disadvantage is your expandability is limited. If and when this, the format war between blu-ray and HD DVD are play out, you’re gonna see that you can't upgrade, you can't go out and buy one of these players when they actually start to hit prices that you wanna buy, like you know a hundred dollars. Then you wanna be able to do that but you won't be able to because your system is not expandable. Another major disadvantage of this is many of these systems don’t have inputs to be able to receive the surround sound’s signals from your cable box, your satellite box, t-vo, or other sources. There’s a lot of different things out there, you know, and there are some high end models for the Home Theater in a box, like Bose makes Bose lifestyle system is a high end home theater in a box and it has the connections there. But this is just a different option to look at for getting all, a lot of the components that you need in one package.
