Good to have you back Erica.
Erica Hi! Thanks for having me.
Audra Lowe A lot of people want to figure out how they can still have that little pampering but a fraction of the cost at the house, right.
Erica Absolutely,
Audra Lowe Okay. So, you guys came up with some ideas. The first one is the facials made simple. How can this really simple?
Erica It is simple and it's great to do in your home for lot less expensive. And your first step is you want to wash your face.
Audra Lowe Right,
Erica Sound is simple but that’s if you got a professional facial, they always start with. Go with the gentle cleanser because you’re going to be doing a lot to your skin. So, something like Cetaphil is great because it's appropriate for all skin type. And it will remove all the make-up on your face and it going to get the internal oils and going to give you a clean slate for the rest of your treat.
Audra Lowe And why you said as you be gentle? Because that can really screw the whole facial up just by step one of being too harsh of the cleanser, right.
Erica Absolutely, yeah.
Audra Lowe Okay, alright. So, what else do you have here?
Erica Wait, so the next step is exfoliation and that really important that’s you going to get of like dry dead skin that’s going to sitting on your face and that what’s making your skin look dull. So, you can go about to different ways. You can use a scrub, that’s a mechanical exfoliant and you would want to look for something like that has branded smooth beads.
Audra Lowe Hmm,
Erica Don’t use anything that’s has like fruit or nuts or you know…
Audra Lowe Sugars,
Erica Yeah, that can be braised up to your skin and create micro tears.
Audra Lowe Okay,
Erica And then if your skin is little sensitive and it can’t really deal with the friction. You might want to go with an enzyme kill. We have a great one from Neutrogena here and it actually just dissolves the dead skin on your face so that you having to rub it.
Audra Lowe Okay, I got you now of theory of this pore strips.
Erica Yeah,
Audra Lowe Everybody loves to see those after the fat.
Erica Yeah, absolutely and you know before you use them, they were ugly really well if you seen your skin first.
Audra Lowe Oh,
Erica So, you would take it like a big bowl of water. It should be hot and steamy. You can take a towel and going to drape your head over the bowl. And you’re going to just let it open up those pores and just…
Audra Lowe It just dissolves that one?
Erica Yeah, three to five minutes you’re done and then use a pore strip. Don’t try to squeeze your pores. That’s just not a good idea. These strips really work. I like them; I use them at least once a week.
Audra Lowe Okay, so now we’re going to move over to the manicures and this seem like pretty simple tips but a lot of people forget and can’t figure out why there manicure doesn’t look like the professional style.
Erica Yeah, I mean here we going to took the color out of the equation once you do that and you have to deal with chipping or waiting for polish to dry.
Audra Lowe Hmm,
Erica Just kick your nails gorgeous and groomed. And the first two—
Audra Lowe The first two sided, two sided in—
Erica Yeah, you can buff them. For the first file your nails, then you want the bottom and it's going to get them just as glossy as if you use it like a top coat. And then I like this trick for getting like a french manicure. You going to use the cue tip, deep it and nail remover and just clean like underneath each now. It makes the whites really nice and bright.
Audra Lowe Hmm, okay.
Erica And finish it with cuticle oil. It makes your nails really nice and glossy and it hydrates that. The cuticle of the—
Audra Lowe That’s an important step to guide you.
Erica Yeah, this one is really great and some it's 850. Its smell amazing and you going to have it for the last two all season long.
Audra Lowe Great,
Erica So, you’re all say, “You now to have spend a lot of money for manicure.”
Audra Lowe A little bit it goes along way to—
Erica Absolutely,
Audra Lowe now over here we’ve talking about the pedicure section.
Erica Yeah,
Audra Lowe Okay,
Erica Sandal season approaches and your fee needs to look cute. So, a great tip is to use a foot file on dry skin. A lot of people think you have to soak your feet for allow that get involve with that dead skin with the foot file. And then you can do a soak if you have, you know, if more dry skin you get right off then you will go on with like a pumice stone or one of those greater grimier scrubs that really work on your feet. Audra Lowe Okay,
Erica Rinse it off, dry off your feet and then you moisturize it. A really great foot cream have a nice on their from selling hands and it’s under $10.00. And you know, you can make a little bit of the treatment massage into your skin.
Audra Lowe Yeah, it gives of a little pain but you know it tricky all the day.
Erica Yeah, exactly. It's all that you?
Audra Lowe And it's really all about the nail polish when it comes down to it.
Erica You know it is and here we brought some beautiful neutral shades because they are kind of group proof. You don’t have to be perfect with them. The bright shades are gorgeous and they are trying also but you know…
Audra Lowe This talk show is my show,
Erica Exactly,
