Holiday Party Dresses on a Budget
Louise: How do you find a unique party dress on a budget? Karola is going home to see her family in Germany and she needs to save up for the trip.
Karola: I'm originally from Germany. And I'm planning a trip back home in January. The problem is I do not have a beautiful dress to wear but I want something that is head turning beautiful.
Louise: And I'm here to find it. So I went on a shopping mission to find affordable and chic party dresses for under $200.00. I invited Karola to our studio to see what I came up with. Karola, you look like a girl who like something for a glitz for the holidays, am I right?
Karola: I love glitz but everything is so expensive right now.
Louise: Well you don’t have to break the bank to be glamorous. I love to get you out of this flat gray and into some color, some serious fuchsia there, a black dress but with a twist for the holiday’s and then last but not least a bit of rock and roll. Are you up for it?
Karola: Absolutely, I'm up for it.
Louise: Okay, I'm going to give you a whole load and off to the changing room with you. Karola that’s so chic. This is like Audrey Hepburn all over. Do you like it?
Karola: I love it. The beads are incredible and the way it flows is like perfect for a holiday party.
Louise: Every girl has an LBD, a little black dress, right. But this time it got an edge. The great thing about this chic dress is that it’s loose and forgiving so any figure can get away with it. I've just dressed it up a little with a cute clutch with the tassel. Let’s have a look here. See, this is my favorite accessories for the holiday’s a chunky cocktail ring. And then final touch a cropped biker jacket. A huge trend for this season and it softens the look a little as well as keeping you warm. So how did you feel?
Karola: Amazing, I feel ready to go to the party.
Louise: Looks cute. Shall we try outfit number two?
Karola: Oh, please.
Louise: Off you go you. Hot pink, wow, this is a show stopper, this dress. Fuchsia is actually my hot tip girls, it’s the biggest color for this season. Do you like it?
Karola: I love it. I was such a girly girl. I love pink. So the pink is amazing and then look at the ruffle and playful and fun.
Louise: Really playful. The back as well has beautiful detail. And again showing a little skin this is sexy there’s no way you're not turning heads when you walk into the room. The other rule for wearing a black dress, don’t wear a black shoe. A gold sandal is going to look gorgeous and then very little jewelry, so gold earrings, gold shoe, right clutch and you're good to go.
Karola: I'm really excited. I want to go right now.
Louise: Gorgeous, go get the boys, one more dress. I'm not supposed to be biased but this is my favorite. You look so cute. This is kind of bohemian meets rock and roll chick with a bit of flapper thing going on with the fringing which is a big trend. How do you feel?
Karola: I feel amazing. I love the way it flows. I feel sexy, festive. Good for the dancing, huh?
Louise: Yes. And then actually if you look at the cut of the dress it’s what we call that empire line, very flattering on all women. It means, the seam comes just under the bust at your slimmest part and then shifts down which is gorgeous and then I added a little braided headband. Girls don’t be scared to wear them this season hip accessory and they really give an edge. And then on the bottom these seasons hot shoe, the studded gladiator. It’s so sexy and refinishes off the outfit. You look so sexy, it’s unreal.
Karola: Thank you. Thank you so much for playing with you and trying all these dresses.
Louise: You're welcome, it was awesome. I got you with your style solution and don’t forget that all these holiday party dresses are under $200.00 each. So, you can afford them. So you see putting some color and glamming it up doesn’t mean breaking the bank. Karola can still pay for her trip and she looks elegant and chic for the holidays.
