Anne: It’s the season to look fabulous. And being pregnant shouldn’t keep you from
shining in all those holiday get together.
Joanne: Pregnant women have the same events to go to during their pregnancy that they
do normally and they just want to look as fabulous as they always do.
Anne: Of this season’s most sparkling styles, I hit the world’s largest maternity store,
Destination Maternity.
This season evening wear is all decked out with embellishments like beadings,
ribbons, and lace sure to make you look glamorous on any occasion. Just ask
regional manager and maternity fashion expert Joanne Amend.
Joanne: Maternity evening wear really follows the regular fashion trend that we see in all
the magazines. And our clients like to see what celebrities are wearing and what's
fashionable and they really want to think fashion during their pregnancy. So that’s
what we try to achieve.
Anne: So let's see who they did. Joanne’s here with the styles.
Joanne: Terry is wearing part of our pea in the pod collection evening line. This is a
fabulous holiday coat and dress. You can see the coat is silver metallic. And if
you just see the detail in the back, that great fleeting detail. And sort of the ampier
style is terrific for a maternity look. And then if you just open it up, we have a
great velvet dress underneath. With a little silk detail on the neckline and some
feather and beadings along the bottom. It’s very easy to wear dress. Does it feel
comfortable?
Terry: I love it.
Joanne: It really looks terrific. It will be great for an evening out or party.
This is an evening gown from our Mimi maternity collection and this would be
lovely to wear to a black tie event or even a winter wedding. It’s got a beautiful
beaded bodies and the ampier waist line is just so flattering for the pregnant
silhouette. It’s fabulous on you Coline.

Joanne: And then if you want to turn around, we can show the back. It has a little self belt
with the beading detail as well. And it’s just lovely and elegant.
This is a dress from our Mimi collection. And this would be a wonderful holiday
dress. Great for a party. It would also be a terrific dress that you could wear for
your baby shower. The color is beautiful and it has the little beading detail along
the ampier waist. Very, very flattering style.

would be terrific for any event that you might have to go to. A wedding. A party.
You can wear this to your baby shower and it just has a terrific square detailed
neckline with the beading and the ruche sleeve. It’s just lovely on.
Anne: But while these gorgeous gowns seem hard to resist. Don’t be in a hurry if your
event is a long way off.
Joanne: Their bodies are changing very quickly and really for special occasion event. You
really want that dress to fit beautifully and to be really elegant. So we do
recommend that they come as close to the event as possible.
