A taste tester claims that Hitler was a vegetarian. More and more facts seem to surface concerning Adolf Hitler. A 95-year-old woman recently revealed some additional tidbits that were relatively unknown.Apparently, Hitler was a vegetarian. The elderly lady claims she knows this because for more than 2 years she tasted everything he ate for poison at his Eastern Front headquarters in modern day Poland. The widowed, retired food taster says that Hitler would only consume the freshest fruits and vegetables. She states “There was no meat and I do not remember any fish. Of course I was afraid. If it had been poisoned I would not be here today. We were forced to eat it, we had no choice.” Right before his camp fell to the Russian’s, the woman was smuggled away from Hitler with help from a soldier. She is believed to be the only living member of the food tasting team. Hitler’s dinner etiquette has also come to light. A German soldier previously wrote “Hitler eats rapidly, mechanically. He abstractedly bites his fingernails, he runs his index finger back and forth under his nose, and his table manners are little short of shocking.”
