A state department spokesperson says U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will officially be back at it next week. CNN reports . “Clinton is expected to return to work next week after recovering from a string of medical setbacks including that blood clot in her head.” Despite the health issues, Clinton made efforts to stay caught up on work — from home. WWSB explains . “She’s at home resting, but was able to spend Thursday engaging with senior staff, reviewing paperwork and calling in to a policy advisory board meeting.” When the secretary of state returns to work next week, it’s no secret what might occupy most of her time. WCPO has more on what’s likely the first order of business. “She’s expected to testify next week at a hearing on the state department’s involvement in the Benghazi attacks.” Meanwhile, the man who will probably replace Clinton when she steps down later this month is also trying to work ahead. WFXT explains . “Her likely successor, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry is already meeting with diplomatic staff to prepare for his upcoming confirmation hearings.” Doctors have said they expect Mrs. Clinton to make a full recovery.
