Hi! My name is Christopher Byer, I am at Christopher Salon and Massage. Today I am going to show you how to highlight your hair, I am going to show you the differences between the professional highlighting and the type of highlighting you will get from the box and after that I am going to show you the preparation and how to set your table. You are going to need some tin foil and you will need white tooth comb, a foiling comb, you will need some clippies, a bowl and a brush and then we are going to need our developer depending on how light you want the hair to be, you can have 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume developer and then your color that you are going to use and we will go into that when show you how to mix the color, how to choose the proper color to do your highlighting.

And next I am going to show you how to do the parting of the hair; the application of the color, we are going to talk about the different safety issues, keeping the product off of the scalp, the timing, how to turf the foils to make sure you retrieve the proper color, proper method of removing the foils, I am going to show you how to shampoo and rinse the product properly and then after that we will learn some tips on how to take care of your hair after you have had your highlights.

Okay before we get started, let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Christopher Byer, I have been a hair stylist for the last 22 year. I graduated from Greenwood Academy to Aveda Concept School. The last six years I have owned my own salon and I am an Educator for Xafax (ph). My Salon specializes in coloring and color corrections.
