Female: You might have craving to hit the salon and get your hair color touch stop but dye may not be the best way to go about it. Celebrity hairstylist Gregg Giannillo shows us some natural ways to boost our hair color in today’s Better Tressed. Gregg: Hey I’m here with you about some new techniques that can brighten and shine your hair depending on which hair color you are but apparently tea is the new black. What do I mean here we go? If you take a little sage and rosemary, mix them together, boil them in some water, just like a tea, then cool the water of course you don’t want to burn your self. Maybe add a little apple cider vinegar, rinse that through your hair after your shampoo before your condition. Leave it in a few minutes and all of a sudden you’re going to have some beautiful shinny hair that’s perfect just for a brunette. Now red heads, you’re going to use sapphire and honey. Can you catch the color mixture right there? Sapphire and honey mix together, again boiling up water, let it cool. Rinse to your hair after shampoo, leave it on a few minutes then condition it as usual, same kind of thing. You’re catching the drift? Now for blondes, there’s chamomile and marigold. Use this, these are truly teas. Use this, boil them together in little hot water for about 10-15 minutes, cool the water down, rinse it through after your shampoo before your conditioner and then you’ll have some really sparkling blonde hair. But, you want to add a little bit more this summer. Blondes only, this is for blondes only. Take a little lemon juice add it to your water, little lemon to that a quart full of water. Mix it up really good, run it through your hair and leave it on while you’re out in the sun then you’ll have a natural lift, you’ll have a natural sparkle and it won’t go orange. That is, and I’m telling you, if you’re naturally blonde. If you’re not naturally blonde, if you look like me you will end up orange. Don’t do it, those are your entire tip for the day. Female: We definitely don’t want orange hair, thanks Gregg. If you have a hair question for Gregg email him at askgregg@bettertv.com, he just might answer your question right here on Better.
