Henry Holland Fashion Designer Profile
Host: British Blonde Fashion Designer Henry Holland creator of House of Holland is just as colorful and outgoing as his designs that made him known around the world. The brilliant thing about Holland is it actually had known formal training in Fashion Design and yet he’s one of the hottest new designers to come out of England. His love and passion for fashion was set when she was a teenager and he loved the great deal about fashion from being hands on and creative and finding the right people to help him make his dreams become a reality.

Host: Originally working for Teen Magazine Bliss, Holland made a name for his label House of Holland in 2005 by creating 80’s inspired T-shirts in bright neon colors with catching chicky slogans about fashion designers and celebrities that instantly boosted his popularity.
The shots were an instance sensation with celebrities in fashion designers for their rhyming slogans like “Love me some Lohan” referring to troubled young actress Lindsay Lohan and flick you your bean for Agnes Dean referring to bestfriend and news model Agnes Dean as well as small provocative rhymes featuring the name of Namibian model Behati Princeloo.
His instant fame allowed him to move from t-shirt designer to fully pledge fashion designer creating collections that are displayed at some of the most prestigious fashion events even being invited by the Queen of the fashion scene, American Vogue’s Editor in Chief Anna Wintour to attend fashion events in New York.
Holland’s success is being twice as exiting with his rise to fame coinciding with his best friend’s model Agnes Dean. Haled as the next great super model, Dean has been a long time friend of Holland’s, and even though her career has taken a role across the world for modeling shoots and advertising campaigns, she continues to support Holland and appear in his run way shows often leading the way in his brilliant designs and promoting his label.
In 2007, Dean led the charge wearing an oversized plum leather jacket with stunts and matching hot pants in a show wear guns and roses leads singer Axel Rose took center stage at the House of Holland with the fashion being inspired by the animated heavy metal singer.
Other looks included tied eyed t- shirts, leopard prints and cat suits and Spandex dresses reminiscent of the 90’s. Models both man and women were sent down the cat walk with the letter A for Axel printed on the shirts as well as studded on the back of leather jackets.
For recent designs and collections that featured at London Fashion Week, the young designer used tartan and a fine coat of arms for unconventional suits, micro mini quilts and psychedelic plaid shirt dresses accessorized with laced boots with inspiration coming from his family history.
Loud Applause greeted Dean who once again close to show in a tartan layered wedding dress with Atlas and the transparent veil. Holland’s paid thanks to his arties as the inspiration behind his spring summer ’09 show at London Fashion Week with a cat walk featuring model of the moment Dean opening the show in Floral Chiffon Pants over a polka dotted body.
Henry Holland: I started with a Beverly Hills 90210 boxer and we try to move on to knit prints and floral and like my auntie Gather, and I went with her and she’s really into flower arranging and flowers and hope so yeah also.
Host: The show was light and airy with chiffon playing a big part along with big Floral Prints. Elsewhere polka dots featured on cycling shorts with cutouts at the thigh worn underneath bright bolds colored shorts.
The new generation designer Henry Holland is the toast of fashion town at the moment with his cutting edge take on designs and trends. He has put a different spin on the fashion with bright over the top colors and designs that will forever be fun and funky.
