Male Speaker: What are healthy fat choices for weight gain? Taras Raggio: The recommended fat intake provides the essential fatty acids needed for healthy body consumption. There are two primary sources of essential fatty acids; they are either Omega-3 fatty acids essential fatty acids or Omega-6 essential fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids those are the polyunsaturated fats, they come from food such as tuna, mackerel and salmon. Omega-3 on the other hand come from food such as nuts and whole grains. Another fat that's also good for you is monounsaturated and you can get the monounsaturated fat from food such as olive oil and avocados.
